Probinex Event: Regulation as an opportunity echoed the halls of the Brno Hotel International with the sounds of the future
On Saturday, September 21st, another Probinex event took place at the traditional venue. This time it focused on informing the public about the future of the world of finance and cryptocurrencies in the era of upcoming regulations. In addition to the Probinex founders giving presentations on regulations and reports, the audience also enjoyed a panel discussion full of well-known names in the industry.
MEP Ondřej Kovařík, an expert in financial law Jan Eisenreich, and Jiří Březina, a specialist in training and certification in the field of investments, spoke on the topic of MiCA, ČNB and what the upcoming regulation will bring to the Czech market.
During the panel discussion, Mr. Kovařík explained what the MiCA regulation involves and what its adoption actually means for the world of cryptoassets. He also specifically addressed the direct impact on entities conducting business in this area, such as Probinex, and the subsequent importance of the CASP license. He also revealed that he does not see the role of the ČNB in the future development of the situation in a very positive light for the time being.
Mr. Eisenreich contributed to the discussion with insight into how MiCA will affect the traditional world of finance and whether the CASP license will play a role in this, for example, in the emergence of spot ETFs. He also shed light on what will happen with the licenses of financial advisory groups which offer these services. Jiří Březina then elaborated on the topic of educating these groups and the issue of demand from these market participants for licensing opportunities.
The event also featured international guests. Alexis Nicolaou, a representative of Grant Thornton, the world's 6th largest auditing firm, which regularly reviews Earnio's trading results each month, spoke to the audience in the form of a recorded video-interview. Stavros Hadjikyriacou and Loizos Georgiades also flew in personally to the event from sunny Cyprus.
Stavros is mainly responsible for all licensing and regulations at Probinex, in addition to the operation of our Greek base. Thanks to him, Probinex is fully prepared for the onset of the EU-wide MiCA regulation, well in advance of the regulation coming into force. Loizos is our partner for the expansion into the Romanian market, bringing to Probinex more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector in Switzerland.
In the second part of the program, Pavel Šmerda, our Key Accountant Manager, gave the audience an insight into the functioning of Probinex services and products. Patrik Neuberger then introduced the Probinex sales team from his position as Head of Sales and revealed the specific numbers they have achieved so far. Michal Baturko Olbert, co-founder of Probinex, closed the second section of the program with a presentation of Probinex's business strategy and expansion into foreign markets. But before that, he had already announced the two winners of our VIP StayKing contest, who won a business trip to Dubai, the capital of cryptocurrencies.
In the final segment, our team dedicated time to AMA and answered questions from the audience. There were so many that Adam Neuberger, another of the project's founders, addressed some of them later during his closing remarks. These, in addition to his transparent approach and answering questions from the audience, he devoted mostly to his vision of what the future of the cryptocurrency world will bring together with Probinex. The whole event was then concluded with a follow-up after-party full of opportunities for discussion with the event attendees as well as the Probinex project founders themselves and other members of the team.
